Alexey Miller extends condolences upon death of Valery Musin

Alexey Miller sent a telegram of condolences on Valery Musin’s death to the Rector of the St. Petersburg State University:

“On behalf of the Gazprom Management Committee and on my own behalf I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to you and the whole staff of the St. Petersburg State University upon your grievous loss – the untimely death of Valery Musin.

We share your heartache with you – a gifted scientist, high-grade professional fondly dedicated to his work, a man inspiring respect in everyone who had the great honor to know Valery Musin and work with him.

Gazprom boosting reliability of energy supply to Moscow and Urals

“Today for the first time in the history of Gazprom two new combined cycle gas turbine units with an aggregate capacity of 840 MW have been commissioned at once. All in all, since entering the power industry in 2007 Gazprom commissioned some 7 GW of new capacities so far.

The commissioning of CCGT-420 in Moscow marks the completion of the Mosenergo investment program under the capacity supply agreements. Overall, seven cutting-edge combined cycle gas turbine units with an aggregate capacity of 2.9 GW (more than 21 per cent of the company’s total installed capacity) were built at Mosenergo power plants. Over the period of operation, combined cycle gas turbine units proved their production and economic efficiency, making it possible to save natural gas and significantly reduce air emissions.”

Gazprom and CNPC sign Agreement on Power of Siberia cross-border section and other documents for further cooperation

“Today we signed a whole range of important documents to deepen our strategic partnership with Chinese colleagues. They include an Agreement on the cross-border section of Power of Siberia to connect the Russian and Chinese gas transmission systems.

The eastern route is steadily progressing. The contract has entered into full legal force. Power of Siberia is advancing up to schedule, the resource base is expanding, the Amur GPP has entered its construction phase. All the necessary facilities will be completed within the contract terms.”
