Christmas and New Year greetings
Esteemed colleagues! Dear friends!
On behalf of the Gazprom Management Committee and my own behalf I heartily congratulate you on the approaching New Year and Christmas!
This year Gazprom has continued steadily evolving as a global energy Company. We are consistently implementing our plans along all the business lines – gas, oil and power generation.
Gazprom is fortifying its positions in the European gas market. We signed the Shareholders Agreement to construct the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. This new gas transmission route placed under the Baltic Sea will substantially boost the reliability of gas supply to Europe for decades to come. In order to feed gas into Nord Stream 2 we are creating gas transmission infrastructure across Russia. We have already set to constructing its key part – the Ukhta – Torzhok 2 gas pipeline having great importance not only for gas export, but also for developing gasification in Russia's northwest.
The project for gas supply to China via the eastern route is in full swing. The Power of Siberia gas pipeline is under construction. This year we've started pre-developing the Chayandinskoye field and initiated the Amur Gas Processing Plant construction, which is meant to be the largest and the most technically advanced gas processing facility in Russia.
Just like in previous years, Gazprom has fully met its obligations on regional gasification. Over 130 gas pipelines exceeding two thousand kilometers in total length were placed in 2015, thereby creating conditions for gasification of about 300 localities.
Gazprom takes the leadership position in the Russian petroleum industry. We have been efficiently developing the Prirazlomnoye field in the Arctic shelf. In November the amount of oil output reached one million there and this vividly demonstrates that we operate this complex and extremely promising region in a productive and safe manner.
During the outgoing year we completed the construction of the Gates of the Arctic offshore offloading terminal that would pave the way for year-round oil supplies from the Novoportovskoye field in Yamal.
Gazprom will go on developing power generating capacities in Russia. New power units were put onstream in Moscow: one at CHPP-12 this summer and the other at CHPP-20 a few days ago. Thus, Gazprom has fully complied with its obligations it assumed while taking over the management of the power generating segment in the city.
The launch of the power unit at the Serov SDPP was another crucial event, which contributed to the reliability of electricity supply to industrial consumers in the Sverdlovsk Region.
Thank you for the great efforts taken this year. We see a new year of 2016 approaching. Let it be beneficial for Russia, for Gazprom Group and for each of us. I wish happiness, robust health and all the best to you and your families!
