  • Work with RUSNANO yields specific results

“The efficiency of Gazprom's activities and its competitive ability are largely dependent on the application of innovative technologies. We address this issue with great care and we are the leading Russian company in terms of investments into innovations. For several years together with RUSNANO we have been engaged in the systematic and consistent work. And this work yields specific results. We are on the right track.”

Alexey Miller: work with RUSNANO yields specific results

Interview by Alexey Miller with TV Rossiya 24

“There is no doubt that the project [South Stream] kick-started the economic growth not just in Serbia, but within the whole region, ‘cause it means massive investments. Over EUR 1.5 billion will be invested in the Serbian section. 422 kilometers of main pipelines will be laid along with compressor stations and branch pipelines to adjacent countries. Serbia will become the European center of gas transit, storage and distribution. This will result in the absolutely different geo-political status of the region.”

    South Stream comes to Serbia

“Right after Bulgaria we started building South Stream in Serbia. The project is strategically important for the entire Europe. The new trans-European gas transmission system will eliminate the pressing problem of transit risks and secure uninterrupted Russian gas supplies to dozens of thousands of European consumers. South Stream will adjust the European energy map for the better, becoming an integral part of the EU’s energy security system.

The gas pipeline construction in Serbia will add considerable momentum to the development of the whole gas transmission system, turning the country into a large gas transit and storage center of the European significance. South Stream will boost integration and economic processes in the region, attracting over EUR 1.5 billion of direct investments to Serbia and creating more than 2.5 thousand jobs for the construction period.

Hungary is next in turn for the South Stream construction to begin.”

First LNG supply to Kaliningrad Region scheduled for late 2017

“Gazprom is solving the issue of a national significance in the Kaliningrad Region. Nowadays, a transit gas pipeline running via other countries delivers gas to the Region, but when the regasification terminal is built and the existing UGS capacity is extended, the Kaliningrad energy security will be increased by many times. At least during two months the gas supply to the Region may be fully autonomous. It is particularly important that along with additional gas volumes there will be an environment for boosting the regional industry, creating new jobs and supporting an intensive socio-economic growth.”

Alexey Miller: Gazprom’s NGV fuel is entering the Asia-Pacific market

“Setting up the third Russian-Vietnamese joint venture with Gazprom's participation is a clear evidence of the rapid evolution of our strategic partnership with Vietnam. We are already carrying out joint hydrocarbon exploration and production activities and cooperating in the LNG sector. The joint NGV initiative in Vietnam is Gazprom's first project of a kind in the promising Asia-Pacific market. The project will contribute to further boosting the economic efficiency of Gazprom's business, expanding its geography in Asia-Pacific as well as diversifying the Company's output.”

Europe in need for more Russian gas

“Gazprom continues to fulfill the increased demand for Russian gas in Europe. Gazprom supplied European consumers with 13.48 billion cubic meters of gas this October – it is almost a 17 per cent rise versus October 2012. Supported by Europe's growing demand for Russian gas, Gazprom is intensely building the South Stream project. The construction of South Stream has recently started in Bulgaria, and the Company will launch its construction in Serbia before the end of this year. South Stream is more than ever vital.”

Gazprom and SIBUR joining efforts to create processing complex in Far East

“The efficient and reasonable use of all the valuable components of natural gas from eastern fields is a priority of Gazprom’s comprehensive activities in Russia’s East. The partnership with SIBUR is a sample model of Gazprom’s cooperation with other investors within the Eastern Gas Program: Gazprom creates a resource base and facilities for production, transmission and initial processing, while our partners construct capacities for chemical processing and manufacturing of value added products. The joint activities will result in a considerable economic effect and become an extra incentive for developing Eastern Siberia and the Far East.”
