Gazprom and Wintershall sign Master Agreement to swap assets

Berlin hosts 29th Meeting of EBC Presiding Committee
“In the short term the volumes of natural gas consumed by vehicles will be commeasurable with those consumed by power generating facilities in Europe. Apart from the visible economic advantages, the use of natural gas for powering vehicles in European countries will help reduce CO2 emissions by at least 20 per cent and pollutant emissions – by almost 90 per cent as compared to diesel fuel and gasoline.”

“Early this year we announced that Gazprom had new large-scale projects lying ahead, namely, Southern Corridor and Power of Siberia. Bearing in mind the successful experience of cooperation, we invited Russian pipe manufacturers to take part in their implementation.
Russian manufacturers successfully coped with the tasks assigned to them. Today we can state with assurance that Southern Corridor and Power of Siberia will be supplied with Russian pipes.”
