15-year contracts signed for supplies of Russian gas to Hungary
“The long-term contracts that were signed today serve as a guarantee of reliable and stable supplies of Russian gas over the next 15 years.
An important component of the new arrangements is the diversification of supply routes. As early as from October 1, Hungary will start receiving Gazprom's gas via TurkStream and the gas pipelines of southeastern Europe. This was made possible to a large extent through the efforts of Bulgarian, Serbian and Hungarian companies in charge of developing the national gas transmission systems.”

“Economic growth means growth in energy consumption. And it is, without doubt, essential for the countries of Asia and Asia-Pacific to have an eco-friendly energy mix. This, in turn, means that their energy mix has to include a substantial share of natural gas as the most eco-friendly, reliable and affordable natural resource of all. And most importantly, it is hard to find an alternative to natural gas in terms of the extent to which the technologies of its use have been developed.”

The joint efforts of the two companies will allow us to deploy the best technological solutions there. It should also be noted that the creation of the JV is facilitating further advancement of the strategic partnership between the Gazprom Group and LUKOIL.”
