“This year is historically important for the national gas industry and Gazprom in particular. The 30-year contract to annually supply 38 billion cubic meters of gas to China has been signed and we have entered into the world’s potentially greatest gas market. Moreover, we have actually secured the direct interaction between the two biggest markets – Europe and Asia. Until recently, these markets interacted indirectly with each other.”

Gazprom builds modern track and field stadium in St. Petersburg
“St. Petersburg can be truly regarded as the 'cradle' of national athletics. Many years ago an amateur runners club emerged in Tyarlevo settlement (presently – the Pushkinsky District) in 1888, and the first Russian Athletics Championship took place in Petrovsky Island in 1908. It's worth mentioning that the stadium's opening coincides with the 100th anniversary of the birth of Viktor Alexeev, a legendary coach from Leningrad, who raised a whole generation of the Olympics, European and World Athletics Champions.
I am confident that this track and field stadium, equipped at the highest level, will contribute to fostering new champions ready to bring fame to St. Petersburg and the whole country. Their example will serve as inspiration to many kids and teenagers to do sports activities.”

The Gazprom Kyrgyzstan team will solve the paramount tasks of improving gas supplies to the Republic
“The paramount task of Gazprom Kyrgyzstan today is to operate safely during the winter heating season. We earmarked extra funds to get ready for winter and lowered prices of the gas purchased on the border with Kazakhstan. We are also looking into the possibility of increasing liquefied hydrocarbon supplies to the southern parts of the Republic. In mid-term, we face the challenge of arranging gas supplies to the southern Kyrgyzstan and we consider six options of laying the North-South gas pipeline; exploration works will also be intensified across the Republic. In long-term, we will stick to the General Gasification Scheme for Kyrgyzstan till 2030 and we will finish it by this year end.
The Gazprom Kyrgyzstan team will be focused on solving the paramount tasks to improve gas supplies to hundreds of industrial facilities and thousands of households in the Republic.
For Gazprom Kyrgyzstan, its merger with Gazprom will result in higher performance and better social security to the employees."

Power of Siberia construction launched
“Today the first joint of the unique Power of Siberia gas transmission system has been welded. The cutting-edge gas production and processing facility and thousands kilometers of gas pipelines will secure first gas supplies in as little as four years.
Gazprom is entering a totally new gas market of China. In full compliance with our contractual obligations, Chinese consumers will receive 38 billion cubic meters of gas every year.
Great in all senses, this project has boosted the development of entire industries of the Russian economy: metallurgy, pipe production and machine building. Power of Siberia opens up new opportunities for gasification of eastern Siberia and the Far East. Due to this project thousands of new jobs will be created, accommodation and social infrastructure will be constructed.
Gazprom timely and fully performs its obligations in any area of its activity. It always ensures reliability of gas supplies to its consumers. The same will be true for the Power of Siberia project.”
