  • Gazprom Expands Football for Friendship International Children’s Social Project

“Our Football for Friendship global initiative, as part of a wider series of social project from Gazprom, is aimed at helping to educate younger generations in the spirit of mutual respect. The Сompany's programs aim to raise healthy children, and encourage sportsmanship and respect among peers. We believe that Football for Friendship has already begun to encourage the development of these principles amongst children worldwide.”

Gazprom and E.ON celebrate 40th anniversary of cooperation

“In the early 1970s the Gas-Pipes milestone deal laid the foundation for the comprehensive energy supply system in Europe. Nowadays Germany is the largest Russian gas purchaser and Russia is a major energy supplier to the German economy. Over the whole period of the cooperation, E.ON has been supplied with over 600 billion cubic meters – more than a half of the total gas amount Russia has exported to Germany during 40 years, from the early days of the partnership.

Jointly with E.ON we produce gas from the Yuzhno-Russkoye oil and gas field. We successfully completed the Nord Stream global infrastructure project together. This cutting-edge gas transmission system directly linked Russia to largest European consumers of natural gas and guaranteed energy security of the entire Europe.”

South Stream Transport to sign contract for laying first string of South Stream’s offshore section in March 2014

“The South Stream project is steadily progressing. Contracts for laying the first string as well as for procuring pipes for the second string will be signed before the end of this March. In less than two years the first gas supplies will be carried to Europe via the new route protected from transit risks.”

100 billion cubic meters of gas delivered via Blue Stream to Turkey

“For over 11 years Blue Stream has been an illustrative example of the efficiency and reliability of direct Russian gas supplies to European consumers. The project is the first offshore thoroughfare of such scale globally; it represents a great engineering achievement. Blue Stream made it possible to gain a unique experience in constructing and operating offshore gas pipelines, which can be put into practice as part of the Nord Stream and South Stream projects as well as the Dzhubga – Lazarevskoye – Sochi gas pipeline. Mostly due to Blue Stream, Russia became the undisputed world’s leader in terms of constructing cutting-edge gas transmission systems offshore and onshore.

Nowadays Blue Stream is a guarantee of stable gas supplies to Turkey.”

Decision taken to discontinue gas price discount for Ukraine starting from April

The total gas indebtedness of Ukraine makes up USD 1.529 billion now. Given that Ukraine is not fulfilling its obligations or complying with the agreements reached when signing the contractual addendum providing a gas discount, Gazprom resolved to remove the discount starting from this April.
