Alexey Miller: Blue Stream serves as strong catalyst for Turkish gas market
Gas supplies via Blue Stream have served as a strong catalyst for the Turkish gas market. Prior to the pipeline’s launch, as few as 10 of Turkey’s 81 provinces had access to natural gas. By now, the number of provinces provided with gas has skyrocketed to 78.
Drawing on the successful experience of building and operating Blue Stream, Gazprom is constructing a new gas main stretching across the Black Sea – TurkStream. As the demand for Russian gas in Turkey keeps rising, TurkStream will make gas supplies to our Turkish and European partners even more reliable.

Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, today held in Moscow a conference call marking the 25th anniversary of Gazprom.
The event was broadcast live to 54 companies of the Gazprom Group.

Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on the 25th anniversary of Gazprom.
In a quarter of a century, we have done a tremendous amount of work, in the results of which we can deservedly take pride.
We have built the foundation for Russia’s gas industry development in the 21st century, making Gazprom a leader in the global energy market.
We have created a gigantic gas production center in the Yamal Peninsula. Eastern Russia’s gas sector is taking shape as well. The bountiful riches of those regions will be the main sources of gas for consumers in Russia and abroad in the decades to come.
