A working meeting of Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, with Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Türkiye, took place today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2024.
The parties discussed relevant issues pertaining to their cooperation. Specifically, attention was paid to Russian gas supplies to Türkiye and the project for creating an international gas hub.
Background
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2024 is being held at the EXPOFORUM Convention and Exhibition Centre from June 5 to 8. The main theme of this year's Forum is “The Formation of New Areas of Growth as the Cornerstone of a Multipolar World.”
Gazprom's gas supplies to Türkiye are carried out via the Blue Stream and TurkStream offshore gas pipelines that run across the Black Sea.
