Russian gas reliably exported to Turkey via Blue Stream and TurkStream gas pipelines

A working meeting of Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, with Alparslan Bayraktar, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey, and Burhan Ozcan, Chairman of the Board and General Manager at Turkey's state-owned oil-and-gas company BOTAS, took place today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2022.
The parties discussed the state and prospects of their cooperation in the gas sector. The meeting noted the reliability of Russian gas supplies to Turkey via the Blue Stream and TurkStream offshore gas pipelines. In 2021, Gazprom increased its gas supplies to Turkey by 63 per cent compared to the previous year.
Background
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2022 is being held at the EXPOFORUM Convention and Exhibition Centre from June 15 to 18. This year's main theme is “New Opportunities in a New World.”
BOTAS is a state-owned oil-and-gas company. It is one of the biggest players in Turkey's natural gas market.
