It was noted that the conditions required for bringing gas to the southern areas of the republic have been created owing to the implementation of Gazprom's large-scale projects, namely the Yakutia gas production center based on the resources of the Chayandinskoye field and the Power of Siberia gas pipeline.

The activities envisaged in the updated 2021–2025 program for gas supply and gas infrastructure expansion in Yakutia, which was signed between Gazprom and the region's Government, will make it possible to bring gas to over 8,000 households, as well as to boiler houses of about 70 industrial enterprises in 28 localities.

At present, Gazprom is building five gas pipeline branches with gas distribution stations (GDSs) to stretch from Power of Siberia to the towns of Aldan and Olyokminsk, the villages of Iengra and Murya, and the settlement of Chulman. Another gas pipeline branch with a GDS to stretch towards Aldan is at the design development stage. In parallel, six inter-settlement gas pipelines are under construction and five are at the design development stage in the Aldansky, Lensky, Neryungrinsky, and Olyokminsky Districts.

The Yuzhno-Yakutsk Thermal Power Plant with a capacity of 330 MW located near the settlement of Chulman will be a major consumer of gas supplied via the Power of Siberia pipeline. Gazprom commenced the construction of the plant in June 2024. The facility will help achieve the objective of providing the electrification of the railway infrastructure of the Eastern Polygon, a railway network of strategic importance to Russia which is being developed by Russian Railways.

The parties also discussed the Company's potential participation in new socially significant projects in Yakutia.
