Gazprom actively expanding infrastructure for bringing network gas to Russian regions

RELEASE

The Gazprom Management Committee took note of the information about the progress of the programs for gas supply and gas infrastructure expansion in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the year 2024.

The programs, which are scheduled for the period from 2021 through 2025, cover a total of 72 Russian regions. In terms of their implementation, Gazprom builds gas pipelines to cities and rural settlements that have not been connected to gas before and lays inter-settlement networks within the boundaries of such localities. The scope of the works is determined on the basis of the annual synchronization plans signed between the Company and the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

Gazprom maintains a fast pace of the infrastructure construction activities. For instance, the construction of seven inter-settlement gas pipelines was completed in April in the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Kursk, Leningrad, Tula, and Vladimir Regions. The largest facility is situated in the Luzhsky District of the Leningrad Region. It will provide the possibility of bringing gas to four villages: Smeshino, Turovo, Nelai, and Slapi. As a result, access to network gas will be provided to 1,200 households and two enterprises, namely, a plant-breeding & seed-growing center and a rabbit-breeding complex.

In parallel, Gazprom is designing new gas supply and gas infrastructure expansion facilities. For example, in April, the Company completed the development of the design documentation for the construction, reconstruction or technical upgrade of two gas pipeline branches and gas distribution stations, as well as 21 inter-settlement and nine intra-settlement gas pipelines.

Importantly, the newly created infrastructure becomes the basis for additional gas grid expansion, i.e. for bringing pipeline gas to the boundaries of land plots at no cost to their owners.

Gas infrastructure expansion and additional gas grid expansion in Russian regions are Gazprom's key social projects. They help Russian residents get access to the gas grid and significantly improve the living standards in cities and rural settlements.

The Management Committee reviewed the information about gas supplies to the Khabarovsk Territory from 2025, as well as to the Kamchatka Territory and the Kuril Islands.

In the Khabarovsk Territory, Gazprom is finishing the design development for and preparing to commence the construction of gas pipeline branches to switch the consumers of the Okha – Komsomolsk-on-Amur gas pipeline (not owned by Gazprom) to the Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok gas trunkline.

The Company continues its work on the expansion of gas infrastructure in the Kamchatka Territory. Design development works are in progress for the distribution infrastructure that will be used for the provision of consumer gas supplies to the Elizovsky District.

The development of the design documentation is nearing completion for the construction of the inter-settlement gas pipeline to serve the boiler houses of the Vilyuchinsky Municipality. The project is being implemented pursuant to the instruction of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In addition to that, Gazprom continues the work on implementing the off-grid gas supply project (based on the use of liquefied natural gas) for the consumers of the Kuril Islands.

The issues of the provision of gas supplies to the Khabarovsk Territory from 2025 and the works being performed for providing gas supplies to the Kamchatka Territory and the Kuril Islands will be submitted for consideration by the Gazprom Board of Directors.
