Alexey Miller visits construction site of Complex for processing ethane-containing gas in Ust-Luga

Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, held a meeting today on the construction progress of the Complex for processing ethane-containing gas (CPECG) located near the settlement of Ust-Luga.
The meeting took place on the construction site of the enterprise.
It was noted that the construction of the Gas Processing Complex which forms part of the CPECG (GPC of CPECG) is currently 32.3 per cent complete. All required pre-construction preparation works have been performed at the sites of process units and other facilities, and access roads are completely ready. Orders for the main equipment have been placed, including all long-lead equipment. The first deliveries are planned to be performed in Q3 2024. At present, about 15,000 people and over 1,500 items of machinery are engaged in the construction works.
The launch of the enterprise, which is going to have the largest gas processing capacity in Russia, will be of great importance to the socioeconomic development of the country.
Background
The Gas Processing Complex that forms part of the Complex for processing ethane-containing gas is a joint project of Gazprom and RusGazDobycha. The project operator is RusChemAlliance, a special-purpose company.
The project includes, inter alia, a gas processing plant, a natural gas liquefaction plant and transport infrastructure facilities.
The ethane-containing natural gas produced by Gazprom from the Achimov and Valanginian deposits of the Nadym-Pur-Taz region will be the feedstock for the enterprise. The amount of gas processed will total 45 billion cubic meters per year.
