The parties discussed ongoing cooperation between Gazprom and the constituent entities of the Russian Federation that form part of the CFD. Special attention was paid to gas supply and gas infrastructure expansion in the district.

The CFD is the most highly populated federal district of Russia. There are more than 33,000 kilometers of gas trunklines and gas pipeline branches within its territory, which make over one-fifth of the total length of the Company's gas transmission system in Russia.

Gazprom currently implements the 2021–2025 programs for gas supply and gas infrastructure expansion in the constituent regions of the district. In 2021–2023 alone, the Company built 182 inter-settlement gas pipelines in the CFD. Access to network gas was provided to consumers in 430 localities. Apart from that, Gazprom conducted the works on the renovation and technical upgrade of 25 gas distribution stations. As a result, restrictions on connecting new consumers to the gas grid were lifted.

Gazprom is responsible for the works on additional gas grid expansion in all constituent entities of the CFD. The work is in full swing. At present, gas networks have been laid up to the boundaries of household plots of over 257,000 families. More than 153,000 of them have already switched to pipeline gas.

In line with the instructions of Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, gas pipelines are laid up to the boundaries of citizens' land plots at no cost to the population. Russian regions provide persons entitled to benefits with subsidies for the construction of gas pipelines within the boundaries of land plots and installation of gas equipment.

Other areas of cooperation between Gazprom and the constituent entities of the CFD include the NGV market development. As of today, there are more than 70 gas filling stations of Gazprom in the district, which provide car owners with the possibility of refueling their vehicles with compressed or liquefied natural gas – the most eco-friendly and cost-efficient type of motor fuel.

Gazprom makes a significant contribution to implementing socially significant projects in the CFD. Under the Gazprom for Children project, more than 690 modern sports facilities, including sports and health centers and multi-purpose sports grounds, were constructed and renovated. The Gazprom Group companies also contribute to the support of educational institutions and healthcare facilities, as well as public and sports organizations.

During the meeting, Igor Shchegolev presented Alexey Miller with a diploma confirming that the Gazprom Group has been granted the Contribution to the Achievement of the National Goals Award.

Gazprom is among the leaders of the national EPS (Ecology-Personnel-State) Rating of responsible business. The rating provides for a comprehensive assessment of Russian companies to determine their business reputation, level of integrity, social responsibility, and environmental consciousness.

Background

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2024 is being held at the EXPOFORUM Convention and Exhibition Centre from June 5 to 8. The main theme of this year's Forum is “The Formation of New Areas of Growth as the Cornerstone of a Multipolar World.”

The Central Federal District (CFD) comprises 18 constituent entities of the Russian Federation: the city of Moscow and the Belgorod, Bryansk, Ivanovo, Kaluga, Kostroma, Kursk, Lipetsk, Moscow, Orel, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tambov, Tula, Tver, Vladimir, Voronezh, and Yaroslavl Regions.

Gazprom and the constituent entities of the Russian Federation that form part of the CFD are bound by cooperation agreements.

The EPS rating serves to assess the contribution of a business to the achievement of the national development goals of Russia. It was introduced for the first time in 2022 in the Central Federal District.

In February 2024, by order of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart), a new national standard “Business Reputation Index for Business Entities (EPS Rating). Assessment Methodology and Scoring Procedure for the EPS Rating of Responsible Business” was put into force.

Under the standard, business entities are assessed in three areas: ecology (environmental footprint, use of the best available technologies and implementation of environmental projects); personnel (remuneration, corporate social and population increase programs, and charity projects); and state (tax history, business reputation, social investments in the areas of operation, and interaction with business associations).

The Contribution to the Achievement of the National Goals Award celebrates the companies that meet the following criteria: hold the top position (AAA) in the rating, conduct activities on an inter-regional level, apply a unified approach to the responsible conduct of business in the companies of the Group, and have passed all stages of the business reputation assessment.
