Every fourth client already paying for gas via Gazprom’s convenient online service

The Gazprom Management Committee reviewed the information on improving the payment discipline with regard to domestic gas supplies, as well as on the measures being taken to settle the outstanding consumer debt for the gas supplied by the Company, including the interaction with government authorities to perfect the current legislation that regulates the procedure of paying for gas.

It was noted that Gazprom is providing reliable gas supplies to Russian residents, as well as industrial and public utility enterprises. Due to the implementation of gas supply and gas infrastructure expansion programs, the number of consumers across the country keeps growing with every passing year.

The Company makes systematic efforts for the harmonious development and improvement of the domestic gas market. Inter alia, Gazprom is implementing a set of measures aimed at achieving the high level of payment discipline among consumers and reducing the overdue debt for the supplied gas.

More and more consumers opt for the Subscriber Account convenient online service to pay for gas remotely in a quick and comfortable manner. Every fourth client is already using this online payment service: in 2023, the number of its users has increased to 9.3 million people. The amount of payments collected via said service has grown by 69 per cent as compared to the year 2022.

The Company pays special attention to settling the debt of heat suppliers, who account for a substantial part of the debt, and solves outstanding issues jointly with regional authorities.

Gazprom is also reviewing its client bases and updating them. In 2023, for that purpose, the Company's employees visited 16 million clients (individuals). In addition, Gazprom is filing legal claims and is actively engaged in improving the current legislation with regard to gas supplies.

All these efforts yield impressive results. The total overdue debt of consumers for the supplied gas is decreasing for a third year in a row. Throughout 2023, it was reduced by RUB 10.1 billion to RUB 153 billion. As many as 56 constituent entities of the Russian Federation reduced their debt. The top five of them are the Krasnodar and Perm Territories, as well as the Vladimir, Moscow and Samara Regions.

The issue of improving the payment discipline with regard to domestic gas supplies will be submitted for consideration by the Gazprom Board of Directors.
