Alexey Miller and Belarusian Minister of Energy Viktor Karankevich discuss ongoing cooperation

A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Viktor Karankevich, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus, took place today at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2023.

The meeting addressed the ongoing bilateral cooperation between the parties. It was highlighted that Gazprom pays particular attention to the reliability of gas supplies to consumers in the Republic of Belarus. The Company has performed an extensive work to prepare the Belarusian gas transmission system for a stable operation during the winter peak demand. The work on the creation of sufficient working gas inventories in underground storages is nearing completion.

The parties also discussed the prospects of cooperation between Gazprom and the Belarusian manufacturers in the sphere of technological development. On display at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2023 is a wide range of equipment made by the Belarusian enterprises.
