The opening ceremony for six NGV refueling facilities of Gazprom's CNG filling network was held today at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2023. The newly launched facilities are located in the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Leningrad, Novosibirsk, Omsk, and Vologda Regions.

Taking part in the event were Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Denis Kornienko, Director General of Gazprom Gazomotornoye Toplivo.

The compressed natural gas (CNG) filling station launched in the Leningrad Region is located on the А-114 Vologda – Novaya Ladoga highway near the exit to the Pikalyovo town. Every day, the station will serve, first of all, transit vehicles, and will also refuel the vehicles of the enterprises located in the nearby towns of Boksitogorsk and Pikalyovo.

The CNG filling station that was opened in Cherepovets became Gazprom's second facility of this kind in the city. The station is located in the west of Cherepovets, near the passenger bus depot of Vehicle Fleet No. 1456, the city's main municipal passenger carrier. With its premises being located in the vicinity of the new station, the passenger carrier will spend less time for refueling trips. The owners of both city and transit transport will also find it convenient to fill their vehicles with gas here.

The new CNG filling station of Gazprom in the Republic of Bashkortostan is located near the M-5 Ural federal highway and the Ufimsky industrial park. Transit vehicles will be its key consumers.

Another three NGV refueling facilities of a regional fuel operator started their work under the Gazprom brand name in the Omsk and Novosibirsk Regions. Two of the stations are situated on the R-254 Irtysh federal highway (the section between Omsk and Novosibirsk), and the third one is in Omsk.

“There are in total as many as over 400 gas filling stations of Gazprom across the country now. This is a result of our systematic and consistent work. And the number of gas filling stations will grow with every passing year. This means that the Russian Federation receives additional incentives for developing its economy and preserving the favorable environment,” said Alexey Miller.
