Gazprom and SOCAR review cooperation issues

A working meeting was held between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Rovshan Najaf, President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).
The parties reviewed current and prospective issues of cooperation between the companies.
Background
SOCAR is Azerbaijan's state-owned oil and gas company. The company is engaged in oil, natural gas and gas condensate exploration, production, processing, transportation, and sales.
Gazprom has had a Representative Office in Azerbaijan since 2018.
On November 15, 2022, Russian gas supplies to Azerbaijan commenced under the new sales and purchase agreement between Gazprom Export and SOCAR. The supplies under the agreement will be carried out through March 2023 in the amount of up to 1 billion cubic meters of gas.
