Gazprom delegation attending APEC Summit

A Gazprom delegation headed by Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company’s Management Committee, is attending the Summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders in Lima, Peru.
As part of the Summit, Alexey Miller participated in the meetings of Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, with Tran Dai Quang, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, and Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan. The meetings addressed, among other things, current and future cooperation in the energy sector.

Background
The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is a consultative forum for 21 Pacific Rim countries that seeks to promote trade cooperation throughout the region, economic growth, and strengthening of the Asia-Pacific community.
At present, the APEC economies account for 40 per cent of the world’s population and 59 per cent of the global GDP.
