Gazprom considers possible use of Siemens technologies and equipment for new projects

A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Joe Kaeser, President and Chief Executive Officer of Siemens, took place today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2016.

The parties addressed the ongoing and future bilateral cooperation, pointing out the successful collaboration of the companies in such areas as innovative development, automation, IT penetration, telemechanics, telecommunications, energy saving, and environmental protection.

The meeting participants considered the possible use of technologies and equipment produced by Siemens for the new infrastructure projects implemented with Gazprom's participation.

Background

Siemens AG is a leading manufacturer of electronics and electric tools. The company entered the Russian market in 1853.

Gazprom and Siemens are promoting cooperation in the following areas: automation, telemechanics, power generation, compressor station equipment, oil and gas field development technologies, energy saving, and environmental protection.
