Gazprom and Rostekhnadzor sign Cooperation Agreement on industrial safety

Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Alexey Aleshin, Head of the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor), signed a Cooperation Agreement at the Company's headquarters today.
The document is aimed at ensuring effective and long-term collaboration in the field of industrial safety during hydrocarbon production, transportation and processing, as well as heat and power generation and distribution to consumers.
The Agreement outlines a number of key areas of cooperation. The parties will, among other things, develop proposals for improving the Russian legislation and increase the efficiency of industrial safety measures at operation facilities, including through extensive use of modern technologies.
Gazprom and Rostekhnadzor are committed to cooperation in innovation, R&D, and compliance evaluation and assessment of products, activities, services and quality management systems implemented at industrial facilities.
The parties agreed to exchange information, provide expert consultancy, and hold joint events. The Agreement also foresees the possibility of using test laboratory facilities and test benches of Gazprom's subsidiaries and organizations for research and tests in the interests of Rostekhnadzor.
