Gazprom’s exhibition stand at Forum

As part of the 5th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, a working meeting took place today between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and David Carroll, President of the International Gas Union (IGU).

The parties addressed a wide range of issues of the modern power industry. It was pointed out that gas availability was a key component of the energy market development. In that context, the participants highlighted the importance of the timely implementation of emerging gas productiontransmissionstorage and supply projects.

In addition, the meeting stressed the need for expanding natural gas markets as well as eliminating the barriers hindering gas sales.

The IGU is a worldwide non-profit organization uniting gas associations and companies from 91 countries. The IGU comprises 91 Charter Members and 53 Associate Members. Russia has been the IGU Charter Member since 1957.
