The commissioning of the first 12 apartment houses in the new residential microdistrict Alexeevsky of the town of Svobodny took place today.

The ceremonial event during which the first residents of the microdistrict received their house keys was attended by Yury Lebedev, Director General of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk, Vladimir Konstantinov, Head of Svobodny, and Mikhail Shirokov, Director General of Zhiloy Mikrorayon.

Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, took part in the event via a video link.

The microdistrict is being built in the north of Svobodny for the purpose of accommodating the employees of the Amur Gas Processing Plant (GPP). The construction project includes as many as 42 five-storey buildings and 36 townhouses for a total of 5,000 people.

Also under construction in the residential complex are public-access social facilities, such as a health clinic for children and adults, a school, a kindergarten, a culture and leisure center, and a multi-purpose sports complex.

The microdistrict has its own autonomous utility infrastructure that includes heating, water supply and sewage systems, as well as water treatment facilities. It also has its own gas boiler house for heating and hot water supplies. All these facilities are designed for the Far Eastern climate with temperature fluctuations between minus 40 and plus 40 degrees Celsius. Monolithic reinforced concrete with increased wall thickness can withstand earthquakes as large as magnitude 7.

It is planned to finish the construction of all facilities in the new microdistrict at the end of 2023.
