Orenburg hosts 7th Warmth of Children’s Hearts festival

The 7^th annual Warmth of Children’s Hearts festival took place from September 3 to 7 in Orenburg for children from orphanages and boarding schools. It is conducted as part of the Gazprom for Children program. The Children’s holiday was arranged and sponsored by companies-members of the Gazprom in Orenburzhye non-commercial partnership.

The festival brought together 400 children from 20 orphanages and boarding schools: 18 establishments of the Orenburg Region as well as orphanages of Alapayevsk in the Sverdlovsk Region and Uralsk in the Republic of Kazakhstan. For the first time the event was attended by a delegation of the Yaroslavkins’ family care home from the Rodnichnoye settlement of the Perevolotsky District. They raise 22 children including 16 adopted children.

The event was held at the year-round Samorodovo recreation camp and the Gazovik culture and sports center where the closing ceremony took place. 150 children from 16 orphanages and boarding schools of Orenburg were additionally invited to the ceremony.

All the children received sportswear, wind stoppers, t-shirts, baseball caps, backpacks and memorable gifts with the festival logo.

The Warmth of Children’s Hearts program consisted of Spartakiada Games, artistic and applied arts exhibition, a competition in knowledge of the native history, a show of amateur art activities and a wall newspaper contest.

The festival initiators encouraged all the children who took part in the sports, intellectual and artistic competitions. Each orphanage and boarding school received a gift: sets of sports, computer or classroom equipment.

The Warmth of Children’s Hearts 2012 was supported by the Orenburg Government and the Legislative Assembly, the Orenburg Administration and blessed by Metropolitan Valentin of Orenburg and Saraktash. All leading mass media of the region acted as media partners.

“The festival has evolved into a traditional and long-awaited event. This is not incidental – it helps young participants to fully unveil their physical, intellectual and creative abilities and find new friends,” highlighted Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee in his greeting to the holiday’s participants. “Owing to such events as the Warmth of Children’s Hearts festival Gazprom makes a great contribution to the crucial mission of raising a healthy and harmoniously developed generation”.

The festival units children so that they could share their success in studies, arts and sports as well as find new friends,” noted Sergey Ivanov, President of the Gazprom in Orenburzhye non-commercial partnership, Director General of Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg, Deputy of the Orenburg Region Legislative Assembly 

According to Vyacheslav Labuzov, Education Minister of the Orenburg Region, the Warmth of Children’s Hearts set a goal for children growing in orphanages and boarding schools – to be worth of representing their children’s establishment at the next festival. He thanked the gasmen for kindness to children.
