Tomsk and Sakhalin

In October students from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (Gubkin University) and Tomsk Polytechnic University were on a fact-finding trip at the production facilities of Gazprom transgaz Tomsk and Sakhalin Energy. Taking part in the visit were outstanding students getting the industry-oriented specialties: future engineers, chemists and geologists.

Upon their arrival in Tomsk the students from Gubkin University and Tomsk Polytechnic University visited a training center, the Gazprom transgaz Tomsk headquarters and met with Vitaly Markelov, Director General of the company. On the next day the students visited Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

In Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk future gasmen visited an LNG plant; they were informed about the Sakhalin II project and the Prigorodnoye production facility. The excursion was ended with a tour around Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
