Congratulation on Oil and Gas Industry Workers Day
Dear friends, esteemed colleagues!
On behalf of Gazprom’s Management Committee and my personal behalf, I cordially congratulate you on Oil and Gas Industry Workers Day!
At present, Gazprom is a leading global energy company.
In 2010 the Company boosted natural gas output by 47 billion cubic meters versus 2009. This trend is expected to continue this year as well.
The Company keeps building up its unique resource base. Since 2005 hydrocarbon reserve additions have exceeded production volumes.
In parallel with building up reserves, Gazprom is active in establishing new gas production centers. The comprehensive development of Yamal, the Arctic shelf, Eastern Siberia and the Far East will be one of the brightest pages in the history of the national gas industry of the 21st century and will have fundamental significance for Russia’s development in the decades to come.
The gas transmission system (GTS) upgrading and expansion remains a priority for Gazprom. Capital investments in the GTS have significantly grown lately.
When speaking of the Russian GTS, the Unified Gas Supply System development in eastern Russia is worth of special mention. The first Far Eastern interregional gas transmission network linking Sakhalin, Khabarovsk and Vladivostok is nearly completed. The GTS will enable not only to supply gas to large industrial consumers in several Far Eastern regions simultaneously and to start large-scale gasification, but also to create conditions for pipeline gas conveyance to Asia-Pacific.
Gazprom is successfully implementing the Russian Regions Gasification Program.
In 2010, due to the Company’s record investments in gasification, natural gas arrived in more than 300 population centers around the country. In future, the gasification of Russia will reach the maximum economically justified levels.
Gazprom’s large-scale activities aimed at diversifying export supplies are progressing at full speed.
In 2011 the first string of Nord Stream, the world’s longest offshore gas trunkline, was laid. This September will see the completion of the Portovaya compressor station which is unique in terms of its technical specifications. In the nearest future, natural gas will be supplied via Nord Stream to Germany.
At present, Gazprom is implementing another prominent international gas transmission project – South Stream. A comprehensive feasibility study for the gas pipeline construction will be ready before long.
The Asian gas market is equally promising for Gazprom as the European market. We are positive that eventually our gas will be exported in the two main directions instead of the current one direction. And this will significantly raise the Company’s status of a world’s leading gas supplier.
Gazprom is actively taking leading positions in the oil business.
Oil production by Gazprom Group grew up to 52.6 million tons last year. We intend to keep on increasing oil and its derivatives production, refining and sales volumes by developing new fields in the northern Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the Novoportovskoye field and the Messoyakhskaya group of fields as well as by stabilizing oil output from conventional fields and making new acquisitions.
Gazprom’s financial indicators are as good as its operating results.
The Company’s net profit is growing. Based on the last year’s results, the shareholders received record dividends in the entire corporate history.
Gazprom consistently reinforces its positions of a global energy leader. For the millions of our domestic and foreign customers the Company became a guarantor of energy security and economic stability long ago. And we do cope with this responsibility.
Dear colleagues! With all my heart I wish you new professional achievements. Robust health, happiness and prosperity to you and your beloved ones. Happy holiday!
