More than one million Russian families gain access to network gas due to additional gas grid expansion

RELEASE

The Gazprom Management Committee took note of the information about the progress of the programs for gas supply and gas infrastructure expansion in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as about the progress of additional gas infrastructure expansion in the year 2024.

The implementation of measures is well underway to make network gas available to as many Russian consumers as possible.

By the beginning of August 2024, Gazprom finished the construction and renovation of five gas pipeline branches with gas distribution stations (GDSs), as well as the construction and installation works on 98 inter-settlement and 263 intra-settlement gas pipelines.

In the first eight months of 2024, technical upgrade has been performed at 12 stations to increase the capacity of the GDSs with high utilization rate. The total growth in the annual throughput capacity of said GDSs is comparable to annual gas consumption by a city like Krasnodar or Ufa.

Due to the ongoing gas infrastructure construction performed by Gazprom, the number of individuals and entities who can take advantage of the benefits of additional gas grid expansion is growing. In line with the instructions of Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, gas pipelines are laid up to the boundaries of private households and boiler houses of medical facilities and educational entities at no cost to the consumers.

By now, a total of 1.3 million households within localities already covered by the gas grid are technically capable for additional gas grid expansion. Pipeline gas has reached the boundaries of over 1.05 million households under the existing contracts with the citizens. The major portion of the works (more than 75 per cent) has been performed by the gas distribution entities of the Gazprom Group.

As many as 787 contracts have been signed with medical facilities and educational entities, and more than a half of them (430 contracts) have been performed.

Since April 2024, in line with the instructions of Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, the Company has been working on additional gas grid expansion for the households in gardeners' non-commercial partnerships. By now, the Single operator of gas infrastructure expansion (SO, Gazprom Gazifikatsiya) and regional gas infrastructure expansion operators have signed a total of 9,000 contracts for additional gas grid expansion that covers the households located in gardeners' non-commercial partnerships, and a part of the corresponding contracts has already been executed.

It is possible to apply for additional gas infrastructure expansion via the Public Services Portal, the SO website (connectgas.ru), as well as in person at the client centers or mobile offices of the Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Group, and at the multifunctional centers for public services. One can make inquiries regarding the filing of applications and clarify their status via the SO hotline at 8-800-101-00-04.
