Gazprom’s construction specialists prove to be best in Russia

The corporate team of Gazprom has become the winner of the Fourth World Construction Championship.

The team won 43 medals and became the absolute leader in the overall medal standings of the competitions, taking the most medals of each color: 14 gold, 17 silver and 12 bronze. The team members took prize-winning places in 19 of 24 categories, completing a clean sweep of the podium in nine of them.
Company’s corporate team represented by 157 employees of more than 20 subsidiaries and contracting organizations
A total of 157 employees of more than 20 subsidiaries and contracting organizations that are involved in the construction of Gazprom's facilities represented the Company's corporate team at the competitions. The team members were selected by Gazprom Invest on the basis of the results of a series of corporate professional excellence competitions which had brought together more than 750 participants.
Gazprom team wins 43 medals and becomes absolute leader in overall medal standings
It is the second consecutive victory of the corporate team in the large-scale competition among construction industry specialists. Gazprom has extended its lead compared to the performance at the Third World Construction Championship where the corporate team had become the leader winning 32 medals (9 gold, 14 silver and 9 bronze).
Background
The World Construction Championship is an annual event that combines competitions among professional construction industry specialists with a business program and an exhibition.
The first championship was held in Sochi in 2021, the year 2022 saw the second edition of the event, which took place in Kazan (that was the first time when Gazprom co-organized the event and took part in its competitions), and the third one took place in St. Petersburg.
In 2024, the competitions were held in Yekaterinburg on October 1–4. The Fourth World Construction Championship was founded by the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation, Gazprom, State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, Russian Railways, and the Russian Student Brigades National Youth Public Organization. The event was organized by the Russia – Land of Opportunity platform, which had been created at the initiative of Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, and co-organized by the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region.
