On historical debt of Moldovagaz

A press release on the results of auditing the historical debt owed by Moldovagaz to Gazprom for consumer gas supplies to the right bank of the Dniester has been published on the website of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Moldova today, on September 6, 2023.

It should be noted that, contrary to the agreements between Gazprom and the Government of the Republic of Moldova, the auditor report had not been submitted for approval to the Supervisory Board of Moldovagaz. In any case, as we have already mentioned above, the auditor and the conditions of the tender for the auditor's services were determined by the Moldovan party unilaterally and were not agreed with Gazprom and Moldovagaz. The auditor's conclusions cannot have any influence on the amount and validity of said debt, all the more so as the existence of the debt is confirmed in the documents regularly signed by Gazprom and Moldovagaz and the relevant decisions of international arbitration.

Gazprom categorically rejects the statements of the Moldovan party and intends to keep claiming its rights by all appropriate means.
