Pipeline gas reaches households of over 590,000 Russian families as part of additional gas grid expansion
RELEASE
Release
The Gazprom Management Committee took note of the information about the progress of additional gas infrastructure expansion in the year 2023 in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, namely the efforts for bringing pipeline gas to the boundaries of private households and boiler houses of medical facilities and educational entities at no cost to the population and such facilities.
As of today, consumers have signed about 886,000 contracts with the Single operator of gas infrastructure expansion (SO, Gazprom Gazifikatsiya), regional gas infrastructure expansion operators and independent gas distribution entities. More than 595,000 (67 per cent) of them have already been performed: gas pipelines have been laid to the boundaries of households.
Consumers are taking an active interest in the conditions for gas grid connection. Since the start of the year, the SO contact center (8-800-101-00-04) has processed as many as 181,500 calls. The SO continues to take active measures to inform Russian residents about the opportunities and procedure for getting connected to gas networks as part of additional gas grid expansion. For instance, mobile offices continue their regular visits across Russian regions to interact with the population.
Collection of applications for additional gas grid expansion to cover the boiler houses of medical facilities and educational entities is progressing well: 474 applications from 42 Russian regions have been received to date. A part of the contracts has already been performed: this refers to the contracts in the Krasnodar Territory, the Republics of Adygea, Mari El and Tatarstan, as well as the Chelyabinsk, Rostov, Ryazan, Tomsk, and Ulyanovsk Regions.
