First applications for gas connections in terms of free-of-charge additional gas grid expansion collected from medical facilities and educational entities in 30 Russian regions

The Gazprom Management Committee took note of the information about the progress of additional gas infrastructure expansion in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, namely the efforts for bringing pipeline gas to the boundaries of private households and boiler houses of medical facilities and educational entities at no cost to the population and such facilities.

It was highlighted that as of today consumers have signed 817,400 contracts with the Single operator of gas infrastructure expansion (SO, Gazprom Gazifikatsiya), regional gas infrastructure expansion operators and independent gas distribution entities. About 67 per cent of them have already been performed: gas pipelines have been laid to the boundaries of 544,000 households.

Most of the contracts – about 75 per cent – are performed by the gas distribution entities (GDEs) of the Gazprom Group. The works are carried out strictly in accordance with the signed contracts.

The Single operator of gas infrastructure expansion ensures timely funding to cover the economically justified expenditures of GDEs (including independent ones) and regional gas infrastructure expansion operators.

The collection of applications for bringing pipeline gas to the boiler houses of outpatient clinics, hospitals, rural outpatient & obstetric units, and educational entities is in progress starting from March 1, 2023. By now, such applications have already been received from 30 Russian regions, including the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Krasnodar Territory and the Rostov Region.

One can receive information about the opportunities and procedure for getting connected to gas networks, apply for gas connection and track the status of the application remotely via the SO website, the Public Services Portal or via the contact center telephone number 8-800-101-00-04. The contact center operators have already processed more than 106,500 calls since the beginning of 2023. It is also possible to apply for the service in person via multifunctional centers and client centers of the Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Group.
