RELEASE
Release
The Gazprom Management Committee reviewed a number of issues pertaining to connecting Russian consumers to gas.
It was noted that efforts for additional gas grid expansion – bringing pipeline gas to the boundaries of households within localities already covered by the gas grid – are in full swing in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation as of 2022.
To this date, the Single operator of gas infrastructure expansion has received 822,000 applications from citizens. A total of 377,000 contracts for additional gas grid expansion were signed and more than a third of them have been executed.
Gazprom continues to inform the public about the opportunities and procedure for getting connected to gas networks. To that end, employees of the gas distribution entities of the Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Group regularly meet with locals and conduct targeted visits. The contact center of the Single operator of gas infrastructure expansion processes about 600 calls per day, including on weekends and holidays.
The Management Committee reviewed information about the prospects for the development of the gas supply system and gas infrastructure expansion in Russian regions through 2030.
Gazprom is actively implementing the corresponding five-year programs that were signed with 68 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The construction of gas pipelines and gas distribution stations (GDSs) is proceeding in accordance with the approved plans for 2022.
In Q1 alone, the Company created the conditions for bringing gas to 83 localities in the Leningrad, Sakhalin and Vladimir Regions, the Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Dagestan, and other regions. This will make it possible to connect some 8,800 households and 17 boiler houses to gas.
Gazprom continues to implement measures aimed at providing gas supplies to the Khabarovsk Territory from 2025. In 2021, the linear part of the Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok gas pipeline at the section between Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Khabarovsk was put in operation. Currently, the Company is installing additional gas compressor equipment at the gas pipeline’s main compressor station in order to increase the pipeline’s capacity.
At the same time, following the Directives of the Government of the Russian Federation, work is underway to switch consumers from the Okha – Komsomolsk-on-Amur gas pipeline (not owned by Gazprom) to the Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok gas pipeline.
In the Kamchatka Territory, a gas pipeline branch together with a GDS is being built so as to bring gas to the settlement of Razdolny in the Elizovsky District. An inter-settlement gas pipeline stretching from this GDS to Razdolny was completed last year.
To fulfill the instruction of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Gazprom commenced the design development of an inter-settlement gas pipeline that will be connected to boiler houses in the Vilyuchinsky Municipality. Moreover, surveys are being conducted to build gas pipelines in the following settlements of the Elizovsky District: Dvurechye, Krasny, Nagorny, Novy, Pionersky, and Svetly.
The issues of the prospects for the development of the gas supply system and gas infrastructure expansion in Russian regions through 2030, provision of gas supplies to the Khabarovsk Territory from 2025, and the ongoing efforts for providing gas supplies to the Kamchatka Territory will be submitted for consideration by the Gazprom Board of Directors.
