Management Committee notes high efficiency of Gazprom’s import substitution efforts

The Gazprom Management Committee took note of the information about the results achieved in terms of import substitution efforts in 2021.

It was noted that the Company's work in this direction is highly efficient. For many years, Gazprom jointly with Russia's leading research and industrial organizations has been successfully developing and adopting high-tech equipment and materials, including import-substituting ones. These systematic efforts are carried out as part of the Company's continuous technological development and cover all areas of activities, from geological exploration to hydrocarbon processing. Research-intensive domestic solutions are often miles ahead of their foreign equivalents.

It was pointed out at the meeting of the Management Committee that the import substitution goals set out for 2021 had been achieved. Besides, the overall economic effect from the import-substituting technologies, equipment and materials applied at the Gazprom Group's facilities in 2016–2021 is estimated at RUB 74.1 billion.
