Gas pipelines reach 112,000 land plots of Russian residents as part of additional gas grid expansion
RELEASE
Release
The Gazprom Management Committee took note of the information about the progress of additional gas infrastructure expansion in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation throughout 2022, namely the efforts for bringing pipeline gas to the boundaries of households within localities already covered by the gas grid.
It was highlighted that potential consumers have filed more than 750,000 applications. As many as 112,000 of over 318,000 signed contracts have already been executed: gas pipelines have been laid to the boundaries of the households in question. In 2022, additional gas grid expansion activities will cover more than 21,000 localities.
Applications for additional gas grid expansion continue to be collected. Consumers can file their applications in person via client centers, mobile offices of the gas distribution entities of the Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Group, and in multifunctional centers. They can also file applications remotely via the website of the Single operator of gas infrastructure expansion in the Russian Federation https://connectgas.ru/ and the Public Services Portal. Inquiries can be addressed via the telephone number of the Single operator of gas infrastructure expansion (federal number: 8-800-101-00-04).
Upon the approval of their applications, citizens can sign a contract to lay a gas pipeline up to the land plot boundaries or a comprehensive contract that would also include works inside the boundaries along with the installation and maintenance of in-house gas equipment. Single-window services are provided by the client centers of the Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Group – about 900 offices are currently operating in Russian regions. The centers also showcase the range of gas equipment available and give consultations on characteristics and prices. Equipment offered by Gazprom is produced in Russia.
Today, most regions of the Russian Federation provide social support to persons entitled to benefits by offering partial or full compensation for the construction of gas pipelines within the boundaries of land plots and reimbursing the expenses for the purchase of minimal essential gas equipment. Nevertheless, Gazprom believes that additional support measures are required to boost the number of new gas connections among consumers. Expansion of the list of categories of citizens entitled to corresponding regional benefits could become an effective measure in this regard.
The relevant units of Gazprom and Gazprom Mezhregiongaz were tasked with continuing the work on additional gas grid expansion in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation throughout 2022.
