Gazprom and Schlumberger discuss technological cooperation issues

A working meeting between Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Paal Kibsgaard, Chief Executive Officer of Schlumberger took place today within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2014.

The meeting was particularly focused on the 2013–2015 Sci-Tech Cooperation Program between Gazprom and Schlumberger. It was pointed out that within the scope of the Program a number of advanced solutions had been worked out and put into practice, particularly, in the areas of geophysical research, field production modeling, well drilling and development as well as well workover.

The meeting participants highly appreciated the results of the partnership activities. Application of advanced technologies contributes to higher efficiency of geological exploration, development and production operations at Gazprom's licensed blocks.
