4th Summer Children’s Spartakiada Games of Gazprom adjourns

The sports competitions have come to an end and the formal adjournment of the 4th Summer Children's Spartakiada Games of Gazprom took place in Anapa today. Alexander Bespalov, Head of the Gazprom Information and Communications Department, Nikolai Tucha, Deputy Director General of Gazprom dobycha Urengoy and Vladimir Tortyshev, the chief referee of the Spartakiada Games congratulated the winners.
Persistent struggle in four kinds of sports: table tennis, foosball, swimming, track and field athletics lasted for seven days at the city's sports grounds. The competitions covered 18 different formats: team and individual championships, relay races. 54 sets of medals were given to the competitors.
The team of Gazprom transgaz Yugorsk became the winner of the 4th Summer Children's Spartakiada Games having taken first places in swimming and table tennis. It was the second champion title of the team.
The Spartakiada Games silver medalist is the team of Gazprom transgaz Moscow. The bronze medal was given to Gazprom transgaz Yekaterinburg that won the track and field athletics competitions.
The Spartakiada Games host, the Gazprom dobycha Urengoy team received gold awards in foosball.
In addition, the competitors received awards for the will to victory in each kind of sports and the titles of the best football goalkeeper, shooter, full-back and forward were announced.
Background
Gazprom holds Winter and Summer Spartakiada Games annually. The events take place in cities with the presence of Gazprom's subsidiaries. Both senior and junior Spartakiada Games are held among the employees of Gazprom's subsidiaries and units, and among children active in sports clubs of Gazprom's subsidiaries, respectively.
The main aim of the Spartakiada Games is establishing a healthy lifestyle of Gazprom's team, and young generation as well. The Spartakiada Games provide for sharing the experience in the development of physical training and mass sports, maintaining sports traditions.
