On working meeting between Alexander Ananenkov and Tetsuro Terada

Today Gazprom Headquarters hosted a working meeting between Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom Management Committee and Tetsuro Terada, Executive Vice President for Europe, Africa, Middle East and CIS of Mitsubishi Corporation.
The parties discussed the issues of potential cooperation including the prospects for the execution of joint LNG projects.
Background

Mitsubishi's major business lines are manufacture and sale of various products (from textile to machinery & equipment), management support for new businesses, state-of-the-art technology & fundraising for projects and project management.
Mitsubishi has been involved in liquefied natural gas trading since 1969.
Along with Gazprom, Royal Dutch Shell and Mitsui, Mitsubishi Corporation holds a stake in Sakhalin Energy, operator of the Sakhalin II project.
In October 2005 Gazprom and Mitsubishi Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
