On working meeting between Alexander Ananenkov and Shinsuke Kitagawa

Today in Irkutsk, as part of Gazprom delegation’s participation in the 5th Baikal Economic Forum, Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee had a working meeting with Shinsuke Kitagawa, Director-General of the Natural Resources and Fuel Department with the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
The parties addressed the progress with the cooperation in the gas sector and amongst other things exchanged opinions on issues surrounding the organization of gas deliveries from Russia to Japan and the creation of gas processing and gas chemicals facilities in eastern Russia.
Background
The Framework Agreement of Cooperation between Gazprom and the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, Japan’s Ministry of the Economy, Trade and Industry was signed in 2005.
To implement the Agreement, the parties set up the Joint Coordinating Committee, the third meeting of which took place in Sochi in June this year.
The Committee includes the Joint Working Group for various activities.
