On working meeting between Alexey Miller and Klaus-Ewald Holst

The Gazprom Headquarters has hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Klaus-Ewald Holst, Managing Director of Verbundnetz Gas.

The parties discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation. Special attention was paid to the natural gas supply, underground storage and gas mains system utilization projects.

Background

Verbundnetz Gas (VNG AG) was established in Leipzig in 1969 and is a gas supplier to Eastern Federal Lands of Germany and Berlin.

VNG core business activities comprise of natural gas import, supplies to consumers as well as underground storage.

The production activity is performed via VNG’s ramified gas transportation and distribution system with a total length of nearly 7.3 thousand km including compressor stations with a total capacity of 86.9 MW and UGS facilities with a total volume of some 2.3 bcm of gas.

The company’s shareholders are as follows: EWE – 47.9 per cent, Wintershall Holding AG – 15.79 per cent plus 1 share, VNG Verwaltungs und Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH – 25.79 minus 1 share, EEG – 5.26 per cent, Gazprom – 5.26 per cent.
