Meeting of working group for international auditing of reserves at Gazprom group's fields

Gazprom’s Head Office has hosted a meeting of the Working Group for international auditing of hydrocarbon reserves at the Gazprom Group’s fields. Chairing the meeting was Alexander Ananenkov, Acting Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee.

The participants summed up the results of the Working Group’s activities over 2004 and the 1st half of 2005 and addressed business plans for the 2nd half of 2005 and 2006.

Background

As of 31 December 2004, DeGolyer & MacNaughton performed an evaluation of reserves at the Gazprom Group’s 22 fields containing 87, 90 and 72 percent of Gazprom’s gas, condensate and oil reserves, respectively.

Based on the assessment results, the Gazprom Group’s proved and probable natural gas and oil & condensate reserves accounted for 18.5 tcm and 799 mln t, respectively, worth a total of US $84 bln.
