On the working meeting of Alexander Ananenkov to Leningrad Oblast

On July 14, 2003 the Gazprom’s delegation headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee Alexander Ananenkov made a working visit to Leningrad oblast.

Within the frames of the visit Alexander Ananenkov held discussions with the Deputy governor of Leningrad oblast Ivan Grigoryev and the Deputy governor Grigory Dvas.

The parties discussed a wide range of questions related to cooperation, including construction of the North European pipeline, provision of safe and secure gas supply to the oblast, arrangement of the consumers’ payments for gas delivered, improvement of the heat supply system in the living settlements on the basis of Regionteplogaz company.

The representatives of the Leningrad oblast administration highly appraised performance of the gas enterprises securing gas supply in the region.

The parties reviewed the progress in fulfillment of the Agreement on cooperation and of the arrangements made in April 2003 during the meeting of the Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom Alexey Miller and the Governor of Leningrad oblast Valery Serdyukov. Corresponding decisions were made on all of the subjects discussed.

On the same day the Deputy chairman of the Management Committee took the chair of the meeting in Lentransgaz company. Besides construction of the North European pipeline the following topics were discussed: development of the underground gas storage network in the Northwest region of the Russian Federation and construction of the Krasnoznamenskaya compressor station at the “Lithuania – Kaliningrad oblast boarder – the city of Kaliningrad” gas pipeline.

Representatives of Gazprom’s administration, of design and scientific institutions and gas enterprises of Leningrad oblast attended the meeting. Decisions were made on all of the topics discussed and corresponding instructions were given to related persons.
