Dmitry Biryukov is appointed the First deputy general director of Gazprom-Media. Until now Dmitry Biryukov has been the President of the Seven Days Publishing House, which publishes the magazines Itogy, Karavan Istorii, Shtab-Kvartira and 7 Days weekly.
Dmitry Biryukov was born in Moscow, in 1957. Graduated from the Moscow state institute of foreign relations.
In 1979–1981 worked at the USSR State Committee on television and broadcasting (Goskomteleradio) as an editor of the Chief editorial office of information (Mayak radio program).
In 1981–1986 – private correspondent of Goskomteleradio in India.
1986–1991 – an editor of the international department, deputy editor of the current affairs department of the Ogonyok (Small light) magazine.
In 1991–1992 Dmitry Biryukov worked as an editor-in-chief of the New York Times weekly newspaper.
Since 1993 he was the vice-president of AOOT RTV-PRESS and in 1994 he was appointed the president of ZAO TV-Park.
Since 1995 – the president of the Seven Days Publishing House which is a part of Gazprom-media holding company.
