Today Nord Transgas extraordinary shareholders meeting and Management Committee meeting were held at Gazprom headquarters.
The shareholders meeting initiated changes in Nord Transgaz Management Committee.
Mikhail Akselrod, Head, Department of Capital Construction and Transportation Department, Gazprom, and Sergei Chelpanov, Deputy General Director, Gazexport, are newly appointed representatives of Russia in the Committee. Stanislav Tsigankov, Head, Department of Foreign Relations, and Vladimir Rezunenko, Head, Department of Long-Term Development, Science and Ecology.
The Finland representation in the Board of Directors did not change.
Nord Transgaz Board meeting approved 2002 financials of the company. The Board reviewed and approved main parameters of the 2003 action plan and budget, which stipulate the company’s activities in terms of the North European gas trunk pipeline routing details. The meeting reached an agreement to have experts work out the plan and budget finalization on a working level.
Nord Transgaz development prospects within the company activity framework in terms of the North European gas trunk pipeline project implementation were also discussed.
Background
Nord Transgaz was jointly incorporated by Gazprom (Russia) and Fortum (Finland) on a par basis for cooperation in and realization of the North European gas pipeline project connecting Russia and Western European countries through the Baltic Sea.
