On June 5, 2019, an official ceremony celebrating Ecologist Day was held in Moscow. The outcomes of the Green Spring 2019 national environmental cleanup, the Environmental Consciousness: Peace and Harmony international project, and the I Join Green Spring 2019 creative contest were announced at the event. Representatives of Gazprom and its subsidiaries won the greatest number of awards.

The 6th Green Spring national environmental cleanup took place from April 20 to May 20, 2019. More than 35 companies and organizations of Gazprom located across Russia took part in the federal environmental marathon.

The Ecologist Day ceremony – an event that has been arranged and supported by the Vernadsky Nongovernmental Ecological Foundation and the All-Russian Society for Nature Protection for many years – began with badges of honor being handed out and continued with the awarding of the winners of the Environmental Consciousness: Peace and Harmony international project. In 2019, 653 applications were submitted for the competition. Its geographical reach expanded as well: 73 Russian regions took part in the contest this year.

Among the winners was the Green GTO: Toward the Green Generation project by Gazprom Transgaz Kazan. The project's organizers came up with an engaging way to promote environmentally-oriented thinking among youth. As part of the project, more than 4,000 people took part in environmental actions in the Republic of Tatarstan, and over 1,500 schoolchildren received their Green GTO merit badges.
