In the last half of May 2018, Gazprom Dobycha Krasnodar held a number of professional excellence contests at the company’s three gas production directorates.
On May 16–17, employees of Gazprom Dobycha Krasnodar competed for the titles of Best Oil and Gas Production Operator, Best Well Survey Operator, and Best Chemical Lab Technician at the company’s gas production directorate in the Kanevskaya village. The contest involved 24 winners of the qualifying rounds that had taken place the day before at the company’s subdivisions in the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories and the Komi Republic. After a round of competitions involving 19 employees, Roman Malyukov won in the Best Compressor Operator category, Fyodor Ivanitsky was named Best Pipeliner, and Oleg Stetsenko won Best Instrumentation Repairman. All of the winners work at the Vuktylskoye GPD.
On May 23–24, ten electrical equipment repairmen vied for the top prize at the Svetlogradskoye GPD, with the GPD’s Alexey Kovalev emerging as the winner.
The contests included theoretical and practical tests. During the theoretical portion of the competitions, contestants demonstrated their knowledge of special technologies in each category and of occupational, industrial and fire safety rules.
The practical stages of the competitions were arranged depending on the locations of the required equipment at the facilities.
“For our company, it was the first Labor Festival of such scale. It involved 53 contestants representing our most widespread and in-demand blue-collar jobs. This important event allows us to highlight and encourage the best employees, inspiring the participants to move forward and evolve. After all, the company needs top-level professionals to generate and adopt innovations. Contests like this one help make blue-collar professions more prestigious and motivate workers to improve their skills and competencies,” said Andrey Zakharov, Director General of Gazprom Dobycha Krasnodar.
