6th International Conference ‘Cutting-Edge Technological Innovations for Greater Efficiency in Renovating and Retrofitting Hydrocarbon Production Facilities’

Alexander Kalinkin, Deputy Head of Department at Gazprom, said in his opening speech: “As usual, we meet at this time of year to discuss issues related to renovating and retrofitting facilities prior to making plans for the upcoming period. It’s no coincidence that Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, is hosting this conference. It was at the enormous capacities of this northern gas production company that numerous technologies aimed at improving the efficiency of field development have been introduced and tested.”

The discussion of these vital issues brought together top executives from subsidiaries of Gazprom, research institutes and the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, as well as Gazprom Administration officials who delivered their speeches on the first day of the conference. Andrey Kovalenko, Deputy Head of Directorate at Gazprom, spoke about innovative solutions for the renovation of hydrocarbon production infrastructure at Gazprom’s facilities. Andrey Arabey, Head of Division, touched upon the prospects of pipe products manufacturing for gas production purposes. Vladimir Stolyarov, Head of Division, covered pre-development methods using digital technologies.

On the second day of the conference, participants shared their expertise in developing hard-to-reach deposits and well workover in abnormal operating conditions, as well as discussed the adoption of state-of-the-art technologies in hydrocarbon production and many other issues. Vladimir Kobychev, Deputy Director General for Production and Treatment of Gas Condensate and Oil at Gazprom Dobycha Urengoy, gave a presentation on innovative solutions for the operation of flooded gas wells in the Cenomanian deposit of the Severo-Urengoyskoye oil, gas and condensate field.
