News from projects and regions
On May 5, 2017, a festive concert took place at the Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta administration’s premises, with the participation of the company’s retired employees – veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
“Let us thank all those who died on the battlefield and those who are still with us now, our veterans. We are grateful to you for the victory you gave us, for the country you defended and restored for many years through your dedicated work,” said Alexander Gaivoronsky, Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta, in his welcoming speech.
The company’s veterans and employees saw a theatrical performance based on the Only Old Men Are Going to Battle movie. The performance was directed by Andrey Zubkov, assistant professor at Yaroslavl Theater Institute and theater and movie actor. The audience was also entertained by a teenage vocal ensemble, a children’s choir, a female vocal ensemble led by Svetlana Korepanova, a dance ensemble and a vocal group named Yolochka. Among those acting in the theatrical performance were Ekaterina Zakharova, Elena Vasilchenko, and Andrey Petrichenko, employees of Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta.
After the concert, representatives of the Council of Young Professionals accompanied the guests to a gala dinner, at which the veterans could share their stories about the war years with the young employees and thank the company’s management for its constant care and attention.
In early May, the Social Support of Pensioners non-profit charity fund, jointly with the Council of Young Professionals, arranged visits to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War. The retired people received the precious attention, flowers, and gifts.
As tradition goes, the Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta top management and staff will take part this year in the Immortal Regiment campaign.
