Specifically, more than 28,000 tons of cargoes were transported to the fields in Western Siberia, including around 9.5 tons during the water navigation period from the port of Arkhangelsk to the port of Sabetta in Yamal. Over 380 kilometers of winter roads were built and restored to enable the cargo traffic.

Upward of 20,000 tons of materials and equipment were delivered to the fields in Eastern Siberia, with 280 kilometers of winter roads built for that purpose.

“The activities related to delivering equipment to field sites start in autumn and end in mid-spring, as it is the only time when transportation of cargoes by specially built winter roads is possible. During this season, the specialists make every effort to find the best logistics schemes, build winter roads and deliver materials and equipment for the construction of wells despite the harsh climate of the taiga and tundra,” said Alexey Davydov, Director General of Gazprom Geologorazvedka.
