On November 29, 2016, the Educational Center of Gazprom Transgaz Saratov turned into a land of kindness thanks to the Semitsvetik arts fair. The event was part of the ten-day charity campaign for people with disabilities.
Around fifty children from Saratov Boarding School No. 3, together with their teachers and parents, eagerly took part in Gazprom Transgaz Saratov’s festive program. The event included a lecture on the history of Russia’s gas industry, an informative animated film on safe handling of household and gas appliances, a number of contests, and a short concert.
In addition, the program featured master classes taught by the company’s employees. Children had a chance to try their hand at bead weaving, decoupage, painting, and applique, as well as at making magical pictures with ordinary buttons.
The eventful day ended with an informal tea party.
Children’s handicrafts made in the course of the event are now on display at a charitable selling exhibition. The proceeds will be used to purchase educational materials for the children.
“Events like this are highly important to our pupils,” said Elena Kuchina, boarding school representative. “We were very happy to take part in this holiday because our children, despite all hardships in their lives, are very creative, plucky, and optimistic.” Elena Kuchina thanked Gazprom Transgaz Saratov for giving special attention to blind and visually impaired children.
“We have worked together for several years now, and every single one of our requests to the company's management has been fulfilled. Today’s event has shown that ordinary employees are just as ready to open their hearts, devote time to our children, and teach them to see the beauty around us,” said Elena Kuchina.
