Summing up the results of the Year of Environmental Awareness, Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg awarded the winners of the Photo Hunting in the Orenburg Region contest.
The employees of structural units submitted about 300 photos in three nominations. Three winners were chosen in each of them.
The best photo in the ‘Believe-it-or-not’ nomination called ‘There are wonders…’ was the one by Oksana Babenko, environmental safety engineer from the Connection Pipeline Operations Center. The brightest photo in the ‘Cherished Places’ nomination was ‘Morning’ by Ildus Gainullin, Deputy Head of the Electrical Products and C&I Division of the Procurement Directorate. ‘Busy girl of the field’ by Andrey Vasilyev, Deputy Director of Technical Department, was acknowledged as the best ‘Fauna Portrait’.
In addition, more than 800 company employees participated in the closed voting via intranet. Oksana Babenko won the Audience Award for her photo ‘One who chirps at night’.
A photo album was printed on the basis of the contest results. Overall, more than 600 various environmental safety events were organized in the framework of the Year of Environmental Awareness. Their budget was approximately RUB 17 million.
Background
Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg is a 100 per cent subsidiary of Gazprom. Its core business is production, processing and transportation of hydrocarbon feedstock.
The company comprises 10 structural units. The biggest gas processing plant in Europe and the only helium plant in Russia are among them. The headcount of the company totals 10,000 persons.
The company produces more than 20 grades of commercial products, accounting for 100 per cent of Russian helium and odorant and 80 per cent of ethane.
